PROJECT MEMBER
The Faculty is a home to a number of reputable experts in both areas, teaching and academic research and each year FESB attracts a growing number of students. A number of FESB researchers are well-known for their work, both in Croatia and abroad, currently participating in over 50 research projects.
FERIT's part of the project
With the end of a fossil fuel era, comes the era of renewable energy sources
Energy system
30 tons of battery system will be instaled on the ship allowing it to operate without wind. Batteries will be charged by renewable hydro, wind and sun energy.
Veryfing results
Every result needs to be verified. Many simulations will be made. For this case, FERIT has built it's own hydro-wind-propulsion simulator.
Data visualisation and analysis
Ship's data such as energy flow, wind speed etc. needs to be monitored so systems could react.
